A proposito di Roma

If you follow our blog, you already know we appreciate good food.

Unpretentious, pretentious, local, international, from street vendors or five star restaurants...we tried them all. And all we can say is we like good food, and it doesn't really matter where it's coming from. We know it's easy to say but it is so difficult to find...

A particular place we always go back to when in Rome is Trattoria Gusto. It expanded from its original location, so it's getting bigger and more interesting. Restaurant, pizzeria, wine bar, they have a bookstore and a wine store as well as a cheese store.

The food is honest and good, tasty and unpretentious. A very warm atmosphere in which to unwind after a long day walking down the city.

They are located near the Mausoleum of Augustus, and you can check their website for the different locations (all of them in the neighbourhood).

A house like me

Villa Malaparte, in Capri, must be one of the most amazing houses on this planet.

Over the Tuscan hill

If you drive a few miles outside Viareggio, take some small roads up the hill, and then turn a few times you arrive to Camaiore. And then La Locanda is there, a magical place on top of the hill. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the olive trees, the nearby sea, the wine, a massage...
Riccardo will make sure that you get what you need. He was born there, but lived most of his life away. Paris, London, the States, Argentina, always working for a big fashion powerhouse.
And then he needed a change, so he traveled around the world to find a spot for his guesthouse. And after a long search, he found it in the same town where he was born.
We visited and loved it.From there we went to Firenze, Lucca, Forte dei Marmi,Pietrasanta...
Everything was so close, everything was so amazing.
Our place, under the Tuscan sun.
